Kevin Connolly, lecturer in Philosophy at Rutgers University Camden, has won a $75,000 grant from the Cambridge New Directions in the Study of the Mind Project, for a project called “The Interdisciplinary Study of Perceptual Learning.” Connolly’s project will bring together philosophers, psychologists, and neuroscientists at international workshops to discuss perceptual learning—cases where people (often experts) perceive the world in an improved way due to learning. Connolly will act as the Principal Investigator for the grant, with Adrienne Prettyman (Bryn Mawr College) acting as a Co-Investigator.
